Terms of service
Last updated: 13 October 2026
1. About these terms
These terms apply to trustletters.com (“TrustLetters”), run by Eduard Arnau, Spain. By using the site, connecting a newsletter or buying an advertisement, you accept them. If you act for a business, you accept them on its behalf. Our privacy policy explains how we handle personal data.
2. What TrustLetters does
TrustLetters gives newsletter publishers a free public media kit with audience numbers read directly from their email platform, and lists published newsletters in a public directory. The site is funded by clearly labelled advertising. Paying for advertising never changes a newsletter’s position in rankings.
3. Connecting a newsletter
- Only connect a newsletter you own or are authorised to manage, using credentials you are allowed to share with a third-party service.
- You authorise TrustLetters to read aggregate statistics from your platform on your behalf each day until you disconnect. We only read data; we never send, edit or delete anything in your account.
- Your platform’s own terms continue to apply to your account. You can revoke our access there at any time.
- You are responsible for keeping control of your platform account. Anyone who can connect the same publication can manage its TrustLetters listing.
4. Publishing your media kit
Your listing stays private until you publish it. When you publish, you allow us to display your profile, your active subscribers and growth, and the optional metrics you leave switched on, on your media kit, in the directory, in share preview images and in the TrustLetters badge, for as long as the listing is published. You can hide optional metrics, unpublish or delete the listing at any time.
You are responsible for everything you write on your profile, including descriptions, prices, audience claims, past sponsors, links and logos. It must be accurate, lawful, and yours to use. We may edit, hide or remove listings that break these terms.
5. What “verified” means
“Verified” means the numbers were read directly from your newsletter platform through its API, without anyone being able to edit them. It does not mean we audit the platform, that every subscriber or interaction is human, or that the publisher-written parts of a profile are true. Platforms define and calculate their own figures, and they can be delayed or wrong. Sponsors and readers should make their own decisions; we are not responsible for decisions made using the numbers. See how our data works.
6. Fair use
You must not:
- inflate your numbers with bought, fake or automated subscribers, opens or clicks, or otherwise try to make your statistics misleading;
- impersonate another newsletter or publisher;
- use the TrustLetters badge or name for a newsletter that is not published here, or change the badge so it misrepresents your numbers;
- scrape the site at a scale that affects it, attack it, probe it for weaknesses without permission, or get around its limits;
- use the site for anything unlawful.
We may remove listings, block access or end accounts that break these rules.
7. Sponsorship deals
Sponsors and publishers deal directly with each other. TrustLetters is not a party to those deals, takes no commission, and is not responsible for whether a deal happens, how it goes, or whether anyone gets paid.
8. Advertising on TrustLetters
- Sidebar spots cost USD 150 per month each, billed monthly through Stripe until you cancel.
- Your ad goes live after we approve the creative and confirm the dates with you. Paying does not reserve a spot before that confirmation.
- We may refuse ads that are unlawful, misleading, offensive or unsuitable for the site. If we refuse an ad before it runs, we refund that payment.
- All ads are labelled as advertising.
- You can cancel at any time; the spot stays live until the end of the paid month.
9. Price
Listing a newsletter and using its media kit are free. If we ever introduce paid features for publishers, we will announce them in advance, and nothing you use today will start costing money without your agreement.
10. Names and trademarks
The TrustLetters name, site and badge belong to us. beehiiv, Kit, Mailchimp, MailerLite, Ghost and other platform names are trademarks of their owners and are used only to identify where data comes from. TrustLetters is not affiliated with or endorsed by any newsletter platform or by TrustMRR.
11. The service is provided as it is
We work to keep TrustLetters accurate and available, but we provide it “as is”, without guarantees that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that numbers will always be current. Platforms can change or withdraw their APIs at any time, which can stop a connection from working.
12. Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits or lost deals, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before it arose, or EUR 100 if you paid nothing. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow us to limit, or your rights as a consumer.
13. Ending
You can stop using TrustLetters at any time by deleting your listing. We may suspend or end access for breaches of these terms, or close the service with reasonable notice.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will change the date above, and for significant changes we will tell connected publishers on the site before they take effect. Continuing to use TrustLetters after that means you accept the new terms.
15. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Spain. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim there.
